Associate Professor Ka-lai Chan
Ka-lai Chan, a native Hong Kong and a historian of Early China and Chinese Historiography, with a particular interest in the Oracle-bone script and Xia-Shang dynasties. He holds a M.A. in history from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Ph.D. in history from Hong Kong Baptist University.
In 2014, he was a Visiting Scholar at Department of East Asian Languages and Civilizations of University of Chicago. After the PhD graduation, he taught at the Hong Kong Baptist University and The Hang Seng University of Hong Kong for several years before joining Shandong University in 2019.
